Body Contouring

Radiofrequency (Body)

Radiofrequency (Body)

There are numerous contributing factors for sagging skin such as pregnancy, weight loss, Cellulite and ageing.

Many people would like to get rid of loose skin on the stomach, arms or thighs and look for treatments that do not require traditional surgery with all its potential problems and expense. Radiofrequency is a deep tissue treatment used for non-surgical body contouring, reducing fat and Cellulite, and tightening the skin.

RF energy is introduced into the skin and deeper tissues to break down Cellulite; It causes a response that releases and flushes toxins and fatty deposits naturally from the body. Stimulation of the adipocytes will help to release fat into the bloodstream and physically damage many of them. Also, heat energy affects the superficial and deep skin tissue, leading to immediate collagen tightening.

Radiofrequency helps concentrate the body’s collagen fibres and encourages the quick regeneration of the collagen and elastin that we lose, resulting in firmer, tighter skin.

When pockets of pinchable fat are difficult to shift, a person may feel uncomfortable with their appearance and cope with the frustration that occurs when efforts to maintain a steady weight through a proper, healthy, low-calorie diet and regular exercise are not sufficient.

Monopolar Radiofrequency boasts excellent therapeutic outcome in terms of fat shrinking for the body and face, compared to other fat-reducing procedures available on the aesthetics market. This treatment penetrates deeper into the skin, working to target the subcutis (the innermost layer of the skin that contains fat), essential for skin tightening and eradicating Cellulite.

Dermal tightening and fat shrinkage occur due to thermal injury and heat delivered to the blood vessels. This heat causes a series of inflammatory events, including an increase in fibroblasts and escalated collagen formation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a Candidate?
The treatments are perfect for those who wish to effectively contour the body, reduce fatty deposits and improve the appearance of Cellulite. It is essential to point out that treatments for reducing fat are not intended for significant weight loss and a replacement for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. If this is your requirement, please look at Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic′s diet and nutrition treatment plan.
Your practitioner will apply a lubricating gel over the treatment area to allow for free movement of the handpiece that delivers a targeted RF energy. When the procedure is finished, a soothing gel/cream or cold pack may be applied to your skin.
We recommended that you have a session every 10-21 days, with an average of 8-10 sessions in a treatment programme. This treatment will require an ongoing monthly maintenance session.
Following a session, a cooling or soothing lotion may be applied to the treatment area, if desired. Returning to your normal activities immediately afterwards works for most people.
Some devices have inbuilt cooling mechanisms to protect your skin from the heat and make the treatment more comfortable, but the RF energy will heat your skin and underlying tissue during treatment. While the most common side effects of RF treatment are swelling, redness or bruising around the treated area, this reaction usually disappears after a few days.
