Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a series of non-invasive mini-injections that consist of vitamins and Hyaluronic acid, minerals, and active ingredients which stimulate the body.
A highly popular treatment, Mesotherapy, is a safe, injectable treatment designed to resurface and rejuvenate the skin, reduce hair loss, or use for local fat reduction. A natural alternative to invasive cosmetic procedures, it delivers active ingredients directly into the skin, fat cells or nearby hair follicles achieving desirable results.
Facial Mesotherapy increased fibroblast activity to enable effective wound healing. The curative healing effect triggered by Mesotherapy increases collagen and elastin production, vital components in the skin that help keep the skin soft, supple and hydrated. A highly effective rejuvenating treatment, Mesotherapy can also be used to tone and tighten sagging skin on the neck, legs, abdomen, arms, and hands.
Mesotherapy is also very useful in the treatment of thinning hair and fat reduction. Hair follicles are nourished and stimulated, resulting in tighter skin, ensuring stronger roots and faster, healthy growth. Although hair loss is generally associated with ageing men, it is a common condition that can also affect women. Hair follicles require typically extra nourishment to grow and survive, but this concern can often be connected to a person′s inherited genes and may tend to follow a particular pattern.
Besides injection of high quality natural active ingredients such as Centella Asiatica, Gotu Kola, Escin, Horse Chestnut, Forskolin, Caffeine, and Retinol in fat cell stimulate the breakdown of fat cells and fatty tissue gets melted away. The careful combination of ingredients works to help break down and dissolve the fat and encourage the lymphatic system to dispose of the unwanted melted tissue effectively, naturally from the body.

Frequently Asked Questions
A full and thorough pre-treatment assessment will be carried out by one of the expert practitioners at Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic before any procedure is carried out. Your suitability will be determined according to your condition, your expected results and your overall health, outlining the best treatment option for you.
Facial Mesotherapy uses very fine needles, ensuring any discomfort is kept to the minimum. As with other injectable treatments and procedures of this nature, a topical numbing cream may be applied before the procedure if this would benefit you.
Mesotherapy can be used as a supplement, or as an alternative to many other anti-ageing regimens. Patients typically say their skin looks rested, glowing and more radiant, with an even tone that feels firmer after treatment.
One of the first giveaways to a person′s actual age is their hands, and despite knowing this, our hands don′t receive much care and attention (certainly not in comparison to the face and neck). Prominent veins, flaking skin and age spots can appear when they are still relatively young, and ageing generally sees a plumpness loss. Pigmentation becomes irregular, and the texture of the skin changes dramatically. All of this can be corrected or improved through Mesotherapy, restoring a more youthful appearance. The treatment involves administering micro-injections containing antioxidant plant extracts, vitamins, and a blend of Hyaluronic Acid and Succinate directly into the skin. The successful introduction of these products and compounds will help slow the ageing process, dramatically improving the appearance to give you a softened, much smoother effect. It also reduces dryness and protects the skin from cracking or splitting.
This treatment can be used to effectively encourage healthy hair growth to places where hair loss or pattern baldness is present. It is recommended that you attend a pre-treatment assessment to determine if this procedure will fulfil your desired outcomes.
We usually see successful hair growth, or evidence of success, after a minimum of 10 sessions. Our usual recommendation is for an aggressive approach, meaning a course of treatments every two-three weeks for the first two or three months. The frequency then gradually decreases, and the results start to become evident. Maintenance treatments are needed generally once every 2 to 3 months, to retain optimum results.
The most common side effect of Mesotherapy is a slight bruising, which we find usually resolves over one week. As with other treatments which can cause minor trauma to skin tissue, we recommend that our clients begin a course of the homoeopathic supplement Arnica a day or so in advance. Arnica can be taken orally and/or applied topically as an ointment and has found that bruising can subside considerably faster if it occurs at all. Some patients have experienced temporary soreness, but this will also reduce within 24-48 hours.
It is a safe and virtually painless treatment when administered by a trained professional. At Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic, we ensure all our therapists are suitably qualified and experienced, following stringent operational protocols to provide excellent patient safety levels.
This procedure may cause some slight sensitivity where the injections have been administered. This sensitivity will ease within a day or so. In general, any extra care that may be needed will be explained to you during the consultation before each procedure.
Bruising is common and can last up to a week. Bruising happens when blood vessels are punctured, is entirely safe and will resolve with time. We have found bruising to be the most significant in the upper arm area. Swelling occurs as part of the inflammatory response, may last for a few days and is reasonable to be expected. When treating the tummy area, an abdominal binder may help to limit the swelling. Tenderness may also occur and should not be painful. It indicates that the Mesotherapy is still working and further treatments should not be repeated until the tenderness is gone, which may take 1-2 weeks.
Visible results depend on several factors such as baseline fat quantity, the combination of medications and supplements used, an individual′s unique response, and concomitant use of other fat-melting technology. For pockets of stubborn fat such as love handles, results often become visible after a second treatment when the swelling has subsided; the contouring becomes defined, particularly when Deoxycholate is injected.
We find that best results are achieved by spacing the treatments two weeks apart, for a maximum of 8 sessions initially. Clients are advised to rest for a month before we re-assess whether there is a need for more treatments. Only one area can be treated per session; however, other areas can be treated a few days later. We use the minimum 2-week interval, to avoid an unwanted reaction to the further administration of fat-melting medications, preventing over-treatment and damage to non-fatty tissue.
Mesotherapy can add the skin-firming DMAE to the cocktail for skin lifting effects. By doing this, the risk of excess loose skin after the fat is destroyed is reduced. We also can use skin firming equipment to minimise the risk of loose skin further.
Mesotherapy for fat melting is done as a series of multiple injections deep into the fat layer. Naturally, there is expected to be some degree of discomfort as the needles pierce the skin. We use an advanced injection gun which makes injections swift and steady, with tiny needles, so the pain is minimised. Ice packs and/or topical anaesthesia cream can be used to numb the area before starting treatment. With the injection of Deoxycholate solutions, pain can occur as the cells are destroyed and released into the surrounding tissues, and fat can be an irritant. We consider a client′s pain threshold and discuss the addition of Deoxycholate into the cocktail, so also we can vary the concentration.
