Tattoo Removal Laser

Q-switched lasers are designed to target the pigment in the skin.

A type of laser treatment that can address a variety of skin conditions, this procedure is predominantly used for the removal of tattoos.

Many people use body art to mark their identity, and tattoos are a popular choice. Tattoos can symbolise an item of significance in a person′s life, or create a statement about their personality. However, when people regret the inking they have, they are stuck with it as a tattoo is designed to be permanent.

The Q-switching mechanism used in this device delivers short bursts of energy that are extremely powerful. This energy level makes Q-switch Nd:YAG laser an effective procedure for removing tattoos, as it can break up even the most difficult colourings.

Patients will be required to wear some eye protection for the duration of this treatment. The handheld device will be placed against the skin’s surface and moved around the treatment site as required. A series of treatments may be needed to eradicate the inking and results will depend on the colouring depth.
