Tri-Wave MD Dermalux LED

Tri-Wave MD Dermalux LED

Tri-Wave MD Dermalux LED exceeds limitations regarding the benefits of LED phototherapy.

The Tri Wave device has a unique design which enables an easy application to the various areas of the face and body. Skincare professionals are delighted by its results, improving a range of everyday concerns, including lines and wrinkles, acne, psoriasis, age spots, pigmentation, Rosacea and facial redness.

The aim of LED light therapy for this treatment is to utilise the rejuvenating effects of light energy to help repair and replenish the skin. When specific wavelengths of light penetrate the skin, it stimulates the skin cell receptors to trigger cellular activity and encourages a particular response. This treatment works explicitly to increase cellular turnover and encourage the production of new collagen.

Tri Wave MD introduces 3 different lightwaves to the skin.

  • Blue light has an antibacterial action that restores the skin’s clarity. This type of light energy works to destroy bacteria on the surface of the skin, which helps to ease inflammation and the subsequent development of spots.
  • Red light can help to rebuild the skin’s internal and external structure. This energy heats the middle layer of the skin to help trigger the production of new collagen for smoother, firmer skin. Hyaluronic acid also gets a boost, increasing hydration and restoring a more radiant glow.
  • Near-infrared light enhances the rejuvenation process by helping repair damage to the skin’s cells and improving the complexion’s overall health. Near-infrared light can help reduce the appearance of pigmentation, age spots, facial redness, and irritated skin.

The combination of these specific light energies restores the quality and condition of the skin for an overall younger-looking and radiant appearance. This treatment can be performed alongside an at-home skincare regime for maximum, long-lasting results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is suitable for Tri Wave MD Dermalux LED?
This treatment is non-invasive and uses naturally occurring light energies to help revitalise the appearance of the skin. Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic finds that many patients are suitable to undergo this treatment, which is used to treat a wide range of skin concerns.
Your specific skin concerns will be evaluated at a private consultation when we suggest the number of treatment sessions needed to treat your concerns. Results can be achieved in one treatment session; however, we often recommend a course of between 6 and 12 sessions for optimal results.
LED phototherapy is a popular treatment with little to no downtime attached for many people. As it’s non-invasive, there is virtually no trauma to the skin and barely any recovery time needed.
For many of our patients, skin redness is the most commonly experienced side effect. This usually lasts for around 30 minutes and does not cause significant discomfort.
Before you leave the clinic, you will be given appropriate aftercare advice. This treatment may include recommendations for potentially sensitive skin. In most cases, patients can continue with their usual daily tasks and skincare routines, mainly a UV protection product.
Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic takes the safety and well-being of all its patients very seriously. The procedure and the products used within it are all of the medical-grade approval, carried out in adherence to stringent protocols.
Treatments of this nature are generally considered very comfortable and even quite relaxing. It is not uncommon at Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic for patients to undergo this treatment while waiting for another procedure.
You will be fully aware of the whole process in your pre-treatment consultation, including any risks or side effects that may be incurred. This treatment generally reports after-effects, such as facial redness, very mildly.
We do not recommend most treatments, including Tri-Wave MD Dermalux LED, during pregnancy due to this period’s delicate nature. The main contraindications of Tri-Wave MD Dermalux LED are photosensitising medications such as Lithium, Melatonin, Phenothiazine antipsychotics, Amiodarone, Digoxin, and certain antibiotics such as Doxycycline. Also, diseases involving the retina of the eyes, like diabetes, can be considered contraindicated. People with a history of skin cancer, epilepsy and seizures, acute or cutaneous Porphyria, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) should also avoid this treatment.
