Frown, Forehead and Crow’s Feet Lines

Frown, Forehead and Crow’s Feet Lines

Frown, Forehead and Crow’s Feet lines are wrinkles or creases that appear on the face’s upper part. Frown lines develop either horizontally or vertically, across the bridge of the nose or between the eyebrows and become visually noticeable when frowning.

Forehead lines can be seen as fine lines or deeper set creases that run most commonly in horizontal lines across the forehead. Also referred to as “Laughter Lines”, Crow’s Feet are the lines that appear on the outer edge of the eye, running outward toward the temple.

Often starting as fine lines, Crow’s Feet can develop into more deep, more permanent creases and even extend into the cheeks.

Developing lines and wrinkles are a part of the ageing process that occurs as we get older naturally. The skin structure is kept firm, healthy and supple in our youth age, due to collagen elastin fibres. The quality and quantity of collagen and elastin fibres can start to diminish as we age.

Also, muscle mass and their strength unevenly get declined primarily due to ageing and frequent movement. The increasing absence of collagen and elastin combined with muscle tone change can see the skin lose volume, leading to wrinkles and creases.

Everyone ages at different rates and factors such as genetics, lifestyle choices and how our facial muscles are used can determine this rate at which the signs of ageing appear. The symptoms of ageing can often cause a person to look older than they are, or older than they want to be, feeling unhappy with their appearance.

Whichever treatment will best suit your needs, lines and wrinkles from the upper part of the face can be volumised, hydrated and given some bounce, to help smooth out the creases.

Relaxing muscles tones remove tension to reduce the earlier signs of ageing, and improving the skin’s health can encourage healthy cell renewal, leaving a youthful, vibrant appearance.
