Threading is a technique for shaping the eyebrows rolling and twisting cotton threads over the hairs. This quick process gives a precise finish by removing every unwanted hair, even the really small ones.

Tinting is a semi-permanent dye used on the eyelashes and brows to accentuate the brows and eyes’ appearance. The desired shade is designed to enhance your distinct colouring for a natural look.

Whether you are seeking to enhance your natural look, maintain your ongoing beauty regime, or simply for a pick me up, then Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic is here to help you look and feel yours’ very best.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I suitable for threading?
We recommend threading for anyone who suffers from sensitive skin. It’s considered a fairly gentle technique, as only the hairs themselves are subject to any tension or force, not your skin. Unlike waxing the pain factor is minimal. Over in an instant, your skin may temporarily redden slightly, but this will subside within a few hours, resulting in smooth, perfectly arched brows that last for up to a month.
Threading is a brilliant way to remove unwanted hair from the face, neck, hands, feet and tummy. Your therapist will use a length of normal thread to ensnare your grown out eyebrow hair in a loop, before extracting them with quick pulling action. Experienced threading therapists work at a fairly rapid pace. Of course, if you have particularly overgrown brows, it might take a little longer. Threading usually takes place in a relaxing salon setting. You’ll be asked to sit in a designated chair, and your therapist will discuss your aims with you before getting started. If you have any specific goals, such as growing out your eyebrow arches or wanting to thicken the ends, now’s the time to mention them.
Threading is a technique that uses 100% cotton thread to remove unwanted facial hair. So basically no chemicals used and only pulls the hair and not the skin. Also, the repetition of threading is great for your skin because it is like a mini massage, which’s great for your skin’s blood flow.
A great way to prep for threading is to exfoliate the skin around the treated hairs. This exfoliation will help to slough away dead skin and ingrown hairs for beautifully smooth brows.
Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic will ensure that a consultation with your practitioner occurs before the procedure. This short consultation will enable the clients to be given information regarding any side effects or risks that may be incurred. Although eyebrow threading is a clean way of removing unwanted hair, it has disadvantages such as pain, undesirable results, infection, and allergic reaction.
The pain level depends on the threader’s skill and skin sensitivity, and facial threading may be a painful experience.
The application of cooling aloe vera contains products to the threaded skin helps reduce inflammation and redness. At home, you can continue to apply an aloe vera cream to soothe your skin.
Threading pulls hair out from the follicle root. When the hair is pulled out, the pore is opened. If the area is not clean, bacteria can enter into the pore, clog it, thereby causing a breakout.
Everything is fuller, sharper, all-round preened. You’ve seen a world of ‘perfect’ brows and can’t imagine one without.
Tinting lasts about three to six weeks, but certain factors can degrade the tint faster than usual. For example, thinner eyebrows won’t hold the tint for as long as thicker eyebrows.
The tinting patch test involves applying a tiny tint sample either behind the ear or the inside of the elbow. Repeat the patch test if you have not had any tinting for a while.
You can wash your face and take a shower after eyebrow tinting after 12 hours. However, just like hair dye, the quality of your colour can be affected by sun exposure, salt water and chlorine, so avoid these areas if you want to preserve your tint.
Eyelash tinting is like getting your roots touched up. The dye will intensify your natural lashes by darkening them and adding definition to the eye. The dye is similar to what you use on your hair, except it’s specifically developed to be safe around the eye area.
Generally, all tinting will fade. Keep the area dry. Avoid getting your lashes or brows wet for 12 hours after having them tinted. Avoid oil-based eyes and facial cleanser.
