Hair Loss
Hair loss usually is heredity, and the most common cause of hair loss is Androgenetic hormonal changes in men and women
Other factors that cause hair loss can include side-effects from certain medications or medical conditions. Although hair loss can affect both genders, it is most commonly seen in men. Hair loss can be a condition that affects your scalp or can occur on other parts of your body.
Hair loss from your scalp is often referred to as baldness, with age and genetics playing their role. Baldness may occur through gradual thinning that starts on the top of the head (mainly women) or recedes from the front’s hairline (mostly men). It is not unusual for stress or a traumatic event to cause the hair to fall out, often in clumps when washing or brushing, resulting in whole-head thinning of the hair.
Another type of Alopecia is a common benign, autoimmune recurrent condition that affects both men and women and can affect any hair-bearing area and manifest in many different patterns.
It can appear in small round patches in random areas on the head (Alopecia Areata), develop to cause complete head baldness (Alopecia Totalis) or even affect hair loss over the entire body (Alopecia Universalis). In these cases, a medical opinion may need to be sought.
Hair loss can profoundly affect the affected person, both aesthetically and emotionally, seeing lost confidence and/or attempts to cover the baldness with hats or hairstyles.
Hair Loss Mesotherapy, available at Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic, can restore a full head of hair. Targeting the hair follicles with a solution containing vitamins and minerals nourishes the follicles to help them grow and survive, helping to stop the hair from falling out and encouraging healthy regrowth.
