Radiofrequency Needling

Radiofrequency Needling

Radiofrequency needling is a procedure that can improve the overall texture and quality of the skin.

The combination of micro-needling and radiofrequency leads to a more substantial skin tightening effect, successfully treating various common skin conditions. Rejuvenation by non-surgical RF with the skin needling device stimulates the skin to produce new collagen in the dermis.

This stimulation is done by delivering the heat energy produced by radiofrequency to the second layer of skin, with dozens of tiny needles.  By the destruction of the old, faulty collagen and elastin, and increasing the production of new collagen, a firmer and younger skin appearance can be achieved without invasive surgery. An ideal treatment for skin tightening on all areas of the face and body, successful results have also been seen in reducing pore size and stretch marks.

By encouraging skin resurfacing and the regeneration of healthy new cells, the appearance of deep acne scars, Ice pick scars, atrophic scars, burn and operation scars can also be significantly improved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a suitable candidate for Fractional Radiofrequency?
A potentially suitable candidate is someone who feels their skin needs some rejuvenation. This treatment effectively addresses skin conditions on the face or body, improving the overall texture, tone and appearance. A pre-treatment consultation will determine your suitability and outline the best treatment option for you.
Our clients report that this treatment does not often cause much discomfort. The needles used in the procedure are very fine and result in very little trauma to the skin. For your comfort, a topical numbing can be requested and applied before treatment begins
Blood and lymph flow are increased due to the pulsating “rejuvenating” action of the radiofrequency current. The excess lymph is more quickly dispersed through the body, and the blood also moves faster. Radiofrequency Needling results in a reduction in the appearance of congested, tired, puffy eyes in particular. The skin care products used in this procedure absorb more efficiently following Radiofrequency treatments, thereby extending their effectiveness.
It has been found that one of the primary causes of severe dark eye circles is broken capillaries that have leaked haemoglobin, creating a red-blue pigment deposit under the eyes. Because of the circulation rush to the area caused by Radiofrequency, under-eye products can penetrate more deeply into the skin tissue, effectively helping to fade dark under-eye circles.
Through its rapid oscillation, high-frequency current improves the process of nourishment to exfoliate the skin gently, promote local blood circulation and stimulate local glandular activity. Supplying heat to the area is soothing to the nervous system and significantly improves the scalp’s receptiveness.
Some redness, swelling and slight bruising may be experienced post-treatment. These side effects will settle within a few days of the procedure, and any remaining bruising can be concealed with make-up. Your therapist will ensure you are fully informed of any risks before undergoing the procedure.
This procedure incurs little to no downtime. You should be able to continue with your day as usual, as there should be no disruption to the body’s normal functioning.
