Rosacea/Redness Treatment

Seeking a treatment to target the visible symptoms of Rosacea is often down to the embarrassment that a person feels

Rosacea is a condition that affects the face. Although more women seem to develop this concern, the symptoms can be worse in men. Common signs of Rosacea are redness of the skin on the nose, cheeks and chin and feeling a stinging sensation when using specific products.

Thread veins are also likely to appear and small pus-filled pimples. The cause is unknown, but Rosacea has been flared up through strenuous exercise, consuming caffeine, alcohol and spicy food, eating cheese and drinking hot drinks.

At Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic Environ Cool Peel and IPL treatments are available to help manage this concern.

Environ Cool Peel can address several conditions, including lines and wrinkles, uneven skin texture, acne, sun-damaged skin and Rosacea. It works to resurface the skin by removing dead skin cells and encouraging the regrowth of new ones. It also helps to boost hydration and destroy the bacteria that cause inflammation.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy can help to control the symptoms of Rosacea by delivering controlled light to the skin in specific wavelengths. IPL will eradicate skin inflammation that redness and pimples can be attributed to and the superficial vessels that add to the blushed appearance. The results will provide a natural and gradual improvement to the skin.

A full assessment of the face and your concerns at Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic will enable your expert therapist to outline the best treatment option, based on the symptoms you are presenting with.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I suitable for this treatment?
The treatment recommended for you will be based on full facial assessment results, carried out at your pre-treatment consultation. Your expert therapist will look at the severity of the condition and discuss with you which option would be more beneficial.
IPL may not be recommended if: you have a sunburn, are pregnant, have severe eczema or dermatitis or have a history of seizures. Environ Cool Peel may not be recommended if you have recently been on a sunbed, have recently undergone microdermabrasion, have diabetes or another primary medical condition, or have recently used certain medications.

Environ Cool Peel is a very gentle peel that rarely causes any side effects; however, it would not be unusual to experience some dryness, redness or itching, post-treatment.

These effects may also be experienced after undergoing the IPL procedure and can be soothed using cool packs if necessary.

The safety of these treatments can be increased when they are performed by professionals who are appropriately trained. Dr PJ Aesthetic Clinic ensures all its patients’ safety and well-being through carefully followed protocols and procedures.
Many patients report experiencing minimal downtime from either IPL or Environ Cool Peel as they are very gentle and kind to the skin.
